Position Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Estimator with a strong attention to detail and deadlines. The Senior Estimator will play a critical role inpreconstruction planning efforts and during the bidding phases of our projects. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of construction estimating practices, strong digital takeoff skills, and the ability to analyze subcontractor bids and project documents. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate digital onscreen takeoffs and quantity surveys
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new construction and renovation projects
- Review, analyze, and compare subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Interpret and evaluate construction drawings, specifications, and owner requirements & regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Develop and maintain historical cost databases and empirical data for future projects and establishing concept budgets in early planning stages.
- Support the preparation of project budgets, RFP packages and presentations
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8–10 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industryProficiency with digital takeoff software and estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, or equivalent)Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProven track record of successful project bidding and estimatingExperience with client interactions and meetingsPreferred Qualifications
General Contractor experience is a big plusExperience with affordable housing projects strongly preferredRenovation estimating experienceKey Competencies & Personal Attributes

High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)Physical Requirements
