Department : Finance / Operations
Reports To : Director of Financial Operations
About the Company
We’re a fast-growing consumer finance start-up on a mission to make lending more transparent, efficient, and customer-friendly. Our team combines deep financial expertise with modern technology to deliver smarter, data-driven lending solutions.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Financial Data Analyst who’s excited to learn, grow, and make an impact in a fast-paced environment. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and improving how financial processes operate.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations — from building models and analyzing loan performance to identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements. You’ll work closely with the Director of Financial Operations and cross-functional teams to help scale our financial infrastructure as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze large data sets to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, reconciliations, and loan performance tracking.
Support daily financial operations, including loan funding and allocation, settlements, and exception management, and cash movement.
Take initiative to identify inefficient processes, design practical improvements, and implement them end-to-end.
Collaborate with Accounting, Risk, Product, and Operations teams to streamline data workflows and improve systems.
Support audit, compliance, and month-end close activities with accurate data and timely reporting.
Work with external loan investors to provide answers on the portfolio and data.
What We’re Looking For
Required :
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, operations, or lending-related roles.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with experience manipulating large data sets using Excel, SQL, Python or similar tools.
Familiarity with lending, credit, or financial products.
High attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Initiative and drive to identify inefficiencies and deliver actionable improvements.
Preferred :
Experience with loan servicing or financial reporting systems.
Comfortable working with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Background in improving inefficient processes in a data-rich environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary : $75,000–$85,000 base, commensurate with experience
Bonus : Annual performance-based bonus
Equity : Stock options in a high-growth startup
Benefits : Comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), and unlimited PTO
Work Environment : 100% remote with opportunities for in-person collaboration in NYC
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Work directly with experienced finance leaders and gain exposure across multiple areas of the business.
Take ownership of meaningful projects and see your ideas implemented quickly.
Learn fast, grow your skills, and advance your career as the company scales.
