Title :

  • Account Executive Reporting to : SVP, Head of Sales Classification : Full-time Location :   Hybrid New York City (3x / week) Compensation : $80,000 - $150,000 base salary + Commission / Bonus Company Summary : Wave Sports & Entertainment (Wave)  is the leader in the athlete and entertainer vodcast  space.
  • Wave’s award-winning, original programming is led by some of the most popular athletes and personalities in sports media including the hit digital series “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce,”  “Almost Athletes with Dude Perfect”,  “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony” and more! dishing out entertaining commentary, unique perspectives, expert analysis, and behind-the-scenes stories about the players and events that are shaping the world of sports.  Wave also holds partnerships with 100+ rights holders and sports properties, providing always-on programming to followers of the internet's largest and most engaged social communities.  Wave Sports & Entertainment is seeking an Account Executive to join the Wave Sales Team.  The Account Executive will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the successful execution of Wave Sports + Entertainment’s direct response campaigns.  This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, client management skills, and a deep understanding of the audio business with an emphasis on YouTube and Social distribution .
  • Key Responsibilities Achieve revenue targets and drive growth across Wave Sports' ecosystem  Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong relationships built on trust and collaboration to break new business, grow existing accounts, and manage campaigns.   Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and opportunities to develop tailored digital audio strategies.  Experience in selling branded content across social and video channels Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on campaign performance, discuss strategic recommendations, and address any concerns.

New Business Development :

  • Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing audio client accounts by presenting additional Wave tactics : i.e. : experiential, social, and video / pre-roll  Actively prospect and pitch to potential clients, preparing compelling proposals and presentations to showcase Wave’s capabilities and value.  Campaign Strategy and Execution :   Monitor campaign performance to drive maximize delivery and campaign effectiveness Qualifications Bachelor's degree   2-3 years of proven experience in audio and / or direct response digital marketing and / or account management  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.  Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • This role is a full-time position with a base salary range of $80,000 - $150,000 a year, depending on experience, and may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
  • Actual salary at the time of offer may vary based on multiple factors, including an individual's experience level and qualifications.

  • The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately.  Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
  • Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
  • The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.
