Position We are seeking a dependable, experienced Phlebotomist (Clinical Laboratory Assistant) to join our growing team in Boise, ID.
In this hybrid role, you will support specimen collection, processing, and transport while providing exceptional patient care.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong phlebotomy skills who also have experience assisting with laboratory operations such as specimen handling, labeling, and preparation for testing.
This position requires confident, independent work, daily driving using your personal vehicle, and comfort with processing specimens in non-clinical settings, including patient homes and vehicles.

Schedule :
Tuesday through Saturday, 7 : 00 a.m. – 3 : 30 p.m.Full-time, averaging 30–40 hours per week.Hours may vary depending on workload, and there may be occasional low-volume days when shifts end early.Responsibilities :
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection per established protocols Accurately input and verify patient / specimen data using a tablet (smartphones not permitted for patient data) Label, handle, and transport specimens following chain-of-custody and integrity procedures Operate a mobile centrifuge and assist with specimen processing in the field Support laboratory operations by preparing samples for analysis and ensuring documentation accuracy Travel between patient locations using your personal vehicle Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow infection control protocols Provide compassionate, respectful patient interactions in diverse settings, including homes and tight spaces Communicate effectively with dispatch, lab staff, and clinic partners Adapt to route or schedule changes and handle last-minute adjustments professionally Maintain and replenish mobile phlebotomy supplies Perform daily vehicle safety checks and follow safety, regulatory, and infection control guidelines Support cross-training efforts and assist with special assignments as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications : Active and valid phlebotomy certification (or similar) for the state of Idaho At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience outside of training or donation centers (inpatient or geriatric population strongly preferred) Reliable personal vehicle for daily use on the job Valid auto insurance and a clean driving record Comfortable working independently and processing specimens (centrifuge use) in your vehicle Comfortable drawing blood in non-clinical settings such as patient homes and tight spaces Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (coolers, supplies, centrifuge) Proficiency in pediatric, geriatric, capillary, and venipuncture collections Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Professionalism in diverse patient and facility settings Familiarity with HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols Comfort using routing apps and mobile technology Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications : Experience in mobile phlebotomy, home health, or clinical laboratory assistant roles Knowledge of order of draw, standard collection protocols, and lab workflows Familiarity with phlebotomy equipment (ETS, butterfly systems) Experience in specimen processing and handling within clinical laboratory environments Interest in long-term growth or cross-training opportunities Job Type : Full-time, W2 Salary : $19.00 – $22.00 / hour, DOE (set by hiring manager) Plus mileage reimbursement at 70 cents per mile Benefits for full-time W2 Team Members : Weekly pay (Fridays) Paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) : Eligible per plan terms Paid training All required supplies and mobile equipment provided Ability to commute / relocate : Must reside in the Boise, ID area.Ideal start date :
