A local K-12 campus is seeking a qualified Substitute Paraprofessional to fill in during absences of regular support personnel. The ideal candidate holds the mandated credentials and brings classroom support experience across grade levels.

Responsibilities / Duties :

Provide classroom support covering paraprofessional duties when needed on a substitute basis

Assist teachers by working with students in small groups or individually to reinforce lessons and support remediation

Prepare, organize and distribute instructional materials as required

Supervise students during classroom transitions, non-instructional times and scheduled routines

Monitor and document student engagement, behavior, and progress; report observations to instructional staff

Adapt to a range of grade-level settings and varying instructional models with ease

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

A test score of 455 or higher, or Pearson assessment score of 220 or higher

AND an AA degree or at least 72 quarter hours / 48 semester hours of college credit

Prior paraprofessional experience required

Clear communication skills; ability to effectively assist diverse learners

Dependable, punctual and ready for flexible substitute scheduling

Compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $47.00. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
