Annual Salary $80,000 to $90,000 plus quarterly bonuses!

The opportunity
Air Fayre is seeking a dynamic manager with a passion for leading and managing. Exhibiting successful outcomes in driving continuous improvement around KPI targets, lean production methods, and developing supervisors to improve performance levels.
Position : Food Department Manager, Gardena, CA
Specific Accountabilities
Responsible for effectively and safely managing food assembly teams of approximately 4 supervisors and 24 associates (per day) engaged in food assembly production activities and facility sanitation.Conduct inspections of the department, confirming adherence to audit standards, safety, cleanliness, and other issues.Manage production and resources, engaging in mitigating actions if production falls behind schedule.Monitor work is up to quality standards and the areas are 5S’d.Partner with continuous improvement in implementing improvement initiatives.Perform scheduled performance reviews with supervisors, 1 : 1’s, and act on people's concerns and trending issues.Consistent review of performance over a 24-hour period and update KPI scoreboard, to include internal callbacks, QC reports, customer comments, and labor hours vs budget. Take the necessary action to realign with KPI targets.Ensure teams are trained and new hires are oriented into their new work environment.Qualifications
Subject matter expert in manufacturing concepts in combination with FIFO, food safety, production planning, waste control, and quality assuranceDemonstrated ability to support company initiatives and budget, and enforce standard work processes (SOPs) and safety programs.Experienced in working with performance metric systems (KPIs)Strong verbal and written communication skills to train people and present in front of groups.Bachelor's degree and equivalent work experience REQUIRED.
