Job Description :
Our primary care and walk-in care practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients across the lifespan.
You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both primary care and urgent care settings.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and review of symptoms.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of practice and in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work, imaging studies, and point-of-care tests.
- Prescribe medications and treatments based on evidence-based guidelines and patient needs.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans.
- Manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, through medication management, lifestyle counseling, and regular follow-up.
- Perform minor procedures and treatments, such as wound care, suture removal, and joint injections.
- Provide urgent care services for walk-in patients with minor injuries and illnesses, including suturing, splinting, and wound care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.
Requirements :
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and national certification in the respective specialty area (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner).
- Prescriptive authority and DEA registration, as applicable.
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting wellness.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and computer skills.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Previous experience in primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine is preferred but not required.
