Position Summary / Objective

The Delivery Driver is responsible for timely, accurate and safe delivery of TriMark United East delivery orders to customers.

Represent TriMark brand and communicate necessary delivery / order related information to customers and internal team. Responsible for safe delivery of TriMark United East delivery vehicle.

Drivers will train 2 weeks in Warehouse to understand picking and labeling, then 2 weeks going with other drivers to learn job.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Drive TriMark delivery trucks to deliver customer orders on assigned routes
• Adhere to all required safety and DOT regulations / practices
• Conduct pre-trip / post trip vehicle inspection and report vehicle issues to Transportation Manager
• Separate orders by delivery from pallets
• Deliver with a hand truck all cases to customer location, moving and lifting to designated area at customers location
• Pick up any returns requested
• Interact with customer representatives in a professional, friendly, and attentive manner during delivery. Have all orders checked in by customer and get customer to sign or get name for invoice.
• Unload all empty pallets and returns upon return to TriMark at the end of the run, deliver such to designated areas in the Distribution Center.

Clean out truck and dispose of trash and pallets to designated areas.

• Work in warehouse if no routes are needed for any given day.
• If in Warehouse you may be asked to do a last-minute route back up or a same day rush order delivery.

Competencies, Skills & Abilities

• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to use pallet jack and forklift
• Attention to detail, ability to effectively communicate with customers
• Follow all required safety practices and adhere to state / local driving laws.

Education & Experience

• Prior box truck driving experience 2 5 years
• DOT medical card
• Valid Class C license

Background

• Ability to successfully pass a background check
• May be asked to perform a drug test for specific positions
• Must be a legal citizen or otherwise permitted to legally work in the US without sponsorship
• TriMark USA participates in the E-Verify program
