Finance Professional 2
This position provides accounting support for Medical School Administration (MSA) units. Job duties include : review and approval of expenses, including serving as the Department Card Administrator, advising staff on policy and processes, internal / external sales and other billing, and funding and administering Dean's Commitments.

Duties / Responsibilities
Qualifications
Required Qualifications : BA / BS plus at least two years of professional work experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal six years. Familiarity with University systems such as PeopleSoft HRMS, EFS, and UM Analytics. In-depth knowledge of University financial, purchasing, and travel policies. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage priorities, coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively to financial and non-financial audiences, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications : Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong technical, problem solving and process improvement skills. Experience with Dean's Commitment database.
About the Department
The Medical School Finance Cluster provides Accounts Payable services for the University of MN Medical School. We are a small division within the Medical School with a staff of 4. The Accounts Payable team manages and processes the payments within the Medical School Departments.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range : $72,000-$75,000; depending on education / qualifications / experience
Time Appointment Category : 100% Appointment
Work Location : Hybrid; as needed - 1-2 times per year on average in person
