About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, confirming creditworthiness, and improving the loan application process by communicating additional requirements to applicants. This role also involves the rejection of loans with clear explanations of deficiencies, as well as the approval of loans and assisting customers with their inquiries. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is looking to be part of a growing, mid-sized institution and has the potential to take over and expand an established portfolio. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Commercial Loan Officer, with a strong background in credit and a business development mindset. Leadership aspirations, the ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products are essential. The role requires a candidate who is loyal, hard-working, and possesses a team-first mentality. Familiarity with sales, commercial loan processing, and closing processes is necessary, as is the ability to multitask effectively and have good communication skills.
