Job Description

The Department of Public Safety is looking for a DPS Operations Specialist to assist in the departments Police Radio & Fleet Programs. This position is integral to the function of DPS and involves all aspects related to mobile and portable police radios, marked and unmarked patrol vehicles and non-sworn vehicles, installation and maintenance and repair of police equipment, and inventory management of DPS vehicles and related police equipment.

Primary Duties :

• Emergency two-way radio installation, repair, programming, troubleshooting, deployment, inventory, and coordination of the DPS / UHP 700 MHz & VHF L3 Harris radios & systems. May also include more in-depth management of complex communications equipment with coordination between state and local agencies.
