Position Overview : As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for planning and delivering clinical mental health services within a correctional facility. Your work will include providing assessments, developing treatment plans, and offering counseling to inmates.
- Conduct thorough mental health screenings and assessments, integrating available records and clinical interviews.
- Implement, monitor, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment activities in health care records for all clients.
- Uphold the strict confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to privacy regulations.
- Exhibit proficiency in psychological counseling techniques, applying evidence-based practices in your treatment interventions.
- Conduct mental health assessments, crisis interventions, and ongoing support to meet the needs of the inmate population.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, including two (2) years in a comparable mental health position.Professional certification or state licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) is required.A valid driver's license is preferred, determined by contract or applicable law.Applicants must be at least 18 years old.CoreCivic provides a comprehensive benefits package, including :
