Overview
The Opportunity : Elemental LED is a leading U.S. based engineering and technology company that creates, develops, manufactures, markets and sells innovative, configured and integrated LED lighting solutions. The position described is a Temporary Full-Time Assembly Technician I reporting under Production leadership, responsible for hands-on technical assembly of linear lighting applications with attention to detail and adherence to safety practices.
The core hours are Monday - Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, and the pay is $20.50 / hour.
Responsibilities
- Assists with implementing projects of customized LED components and / or systems
- Performs a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks
- Follows established procedures and guidelines to check, test and inspect finished goods before they are shipped from the distribution center to the customer
- Conducts tests on electrical function, reliability and packaging quality and records results
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of relevant experience or equivalent experience and trainingAbility to safely use metrology tools and equipment including calipers, handheld photometer, and a multimeter to evaluate product conformanceAbility to strategize, plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks; ability to organize own work, set priorities, and meet deadlinesWork with low voltage electricityKnowledge of quality best practices that can be applied in the company's environmentKnowledge of continuous improvement principles; ISO regulations a plusKnowledge of LEDs, LED drivers, controls, basic lighting terminology, photometry and applicationsKnowledge of test equipment including multimeters, calipers, and handheld photometersOperate and maintain modern office equipment, including computer equipment and software applicationsUse tact, initiative, prudence, and independent judgment within general policy, procedural, and safety guidelinesEffective communication in person, over the telephone, and in writing in EnglishAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
