What You Will Be Doing : In this role, you will be responsible for the full scope of statewide program planning, administration, development, management, implementation, and evaluation of grant-funded services for Alaska's seniors and individuals experiencing a disability. This will include managing multiple grant programs with varying requirements and structures. You'll also :

• Partner closely with grantees and community-based agencies to ensure effective program implementation and use of grant funds.
• Work collaboratively with state and community partners.
• Manage a variety of service delivery programs to ensure effective, efficient service delivery.

The position is a member of the general government union; start and stop times can be flexible between 7 : 00 am and 5 : 00 pm; and hybrid telework options are available after the initial orientation period. This position will be located in the Anchorage SDS office building off of Bragaw St or in the Juneau SDS Court Plaza office building. The incumbent will travel intermittently to conduct grantee site visits and may be necessary to attend meetings or conferences.

Minimum Qualifications : This job class uses competency-based minimum qualifications. Equivalent to those typically gained by : A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in biological, health or behavioral science; health practice; education; public, healthcare, or business administration; or a closely related field; AND / OR Progressively responsible professional experience performing health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation, or implementation; providing technical health care assistance and consultation; conducting health care utilization or quality assurance examinations; and / or delivering health care.

Special Note : Agencies employing Health Program Managers are responsible for administering a wide range of medical, behavioral, and social health insurance programs for children and adults.
