Job description

Health System Director Of Sales

Virta Health is on a mission to transform type 2 diabetes and weight-loss care. Current treatment approaches aren't workingover half of US adults have either type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, and obesity rates are at an all-time high. Virta is changing this by helping people reverse their metabolic condition through innovations in technology, personalized nutrition, and virtual care delivery reinvented from the ground up. We have raised over $350 million from top-tier investors, and partner with the largest health plans, employers, and government organizations to help their employees and members restore their health and take back their lives. As a Health System Director of Sales for Virta you will be responsible for selling to large health systems offering health benefits to employees, as well as health systems willing to partner with Virta as a provider for their patients. You will also have the opportunity to help build our commercialization efforts and capitalize on the national attention Virta is receiving for our industry-changing work.

Responsibilities

  • Help inform GTM and top of funnel outreach for health systems in the US
  • Pick up established prospect funnel and move prospective clients through to contracting phase and close
  • Leverage demand generation work from marketing team to create new opportunities
  • Growth - close new logo's to provide net new growth and revenue for Virta
  • Work with customer success and channel partner teams to maximize enrollments and expansions leading to increased revenue for Virta.
  • Leverage, educate, and co-sell with ASO partners for opportunity pull through
  • Further promote Virta as an innovative virtual obesity and diabetes reversal solution
  • Work closely with Virta team members to provide client / prospect feedback

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following :

  • Build internal relationships with Virta team members
  • Learn the Virta story and begin pitching to prospective clients
  • Begin outreach to prospects currently in the funnel
  • Create and begin executing business plan for success
  • Must-Haves

  • 10+ years selling an innovative healthcare solution to HR leadership and / or clinical leadership at large health systems
  • Quantifiable history of hitting personal sales targets
  • Ability to present clearly to key decision makers
  • Consultative selling experience
  • Ability to proactively manage pipeline
  • Ability to help build and adapt a GTM for this health system vertical
  • Demonstrated collaboration with internal colleagues (marketing, product, ops, etc.) to support sales momentum
  • A passion for improving the health of millions of people
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-growing startup environment
  • Bonus points for :
  • Existing relationships with key decision makers at large organizations
  • Knowledge of Type 2 diabetes, obesity, GLP-1s, and of potential competitors
