Senior Manager, Program Management Office - Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E)
The Senior Manager, Program Management Office (PMO) for the Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) division is a strategic and experienced leader responsible for driving portfolio management and project execution excellence. This role is critical to enabling organizational success through the standardization of project management methodologies, tools, metrics, and communication strategies.
Acting as a key liaison between strategy and execution, this leader ensures transparency, alignment, and impact across new product development, acquisitions, sustaining, and clinical projects. The Senior Manager will also oversee a high-performing team, ensuring consistent execution across the division and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Lead and evolve the PMO function, establishing best-in-class project management practices tailored to the IO&E division
- Define and implement PMO governance frameworks, templates, and tools
- Align PMO strategy with broader business goals, including regulatory compliance, time-to-market, commercial readiness, and leadership in high-growth markets
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to ensure project and portfolio alignment, transparency, and prioritization
- Drive decision-making and communication through effective dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and regular updates
- Manage and optimize the division's project portfolio to align with strategic priorities, resource capacity, and risk tolerance
- Ensure project milestones are tracked and aligned with divisional objectives for scope, time, and budget
- Collaborate with Finance to support strategic planning, annual operating planning, and quarterly budget cycles with executive visibility
- Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on project execution, stakeholder engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and portfolio optimization
- Act as a subject matter expert on project resource, budget, risk, and performance systems
- Train and mentor project managers on system use and best practices to ensure consistency and autonomy
Required qualifications :
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Project Management, Business / Finance, Engineering, or ScienceMinimum of 8 years' experience in project management or PMO rolesDirect team leadership and people management experienceExperience working with budgeting and resource allocation systems and databasesStrong analytical, data reporting, and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management platforms (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Smartsheet)Experience with portfolio management systems such as PPMS and Power BIProven commitment to continuous improvement and high-performance standardsPreferred qualifications and competencies :
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the medical device industry or a project-intensive environmentDemonstrated experience in portfolio, resource, and budget managementProficiency in database application development or modification is a significant plusExperience with UKG, SAP, and SharePointProject Management Professional (PMP) certification
