We are seeking an Audio-Visual Technician I to join our rapidly growing team.
The Opportunity :
Our team puts exceptional quality and dedicated customer service first and foremost in our daily work. We ensure that all of our events, meetings, and celebrations are planned and executed in the spirit of Trojan excellence. As the AV Technician I, you will coordinate and provide audio-visual services for our guests, as well as assisting them with any immediate issues. Working efficiently and effectively under pressure will be essential as you assist with many events in various venues across campus.
The Accountabilities :
Assist with providing audio-visual technical services to faculty, students, and staff for special events and / or instructional purposes. Assist with operation, maintenance, and minor repairs of audio-visual equipment.
Install and set up audio-visual equipment as required. Assist senior level audiovisual technicians with troubleshooting problems during equipment operation and make necessary modifications.
Comply with security and safety standards of all equipment.
Provide assistance with monitoring and maintaining inventory records of audiovisual equipment.
Assist with operation and maintenance of one or more stages / facilities in a school or department. Provide assistance with maintaining stages / facilities in orderly, operable condition.
May assist with scheduling, coordinating, and planning equipment services, orders, and repairs of all equipment with end users to meet specific needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
The Qualifiers :
Education : High School Diploma.
Experience : 6 - months.
Expertise :
Knowledge of and experience with audio-visual equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Presents oneself professionally, in line with higher education environment.
Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment.
