Job Summary
The Senior Buyer will research, evaluate, and source products to be sold. They will analyze competitors, market trends, sales, and profits and apply these insights when making decisions in sync with the current profile and future needs of the company.
They will update management about requisitions on a regular basis and make sure the quality of received stock meets company expectations.
Most of their efforts will go into deciding which lines of products are worth keeping up and which ones should be discontinued.
The Senior Buyer will contribute to design concepts and website production, review samples, and come up with prices that allow for adequate profits, compared to acquisition costs.
This position will include a great deal of data research and analysis, presentation of proposals, and will be focused on vendor relationships and negotiations.
The Senior Buyer will need to be confident in pricing negotiations and working directly with manufacturers, both on a domestic and international scale.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Minimum 4-5 years relevant purchasing or buying experience is required
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- NetSuite Experience, or experience with similar software
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain and purchasing functions and best practices
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry a plus
- Expertise working with vendors on a global scale
- Exceptional negotiation skills, high level of comfort interacting with vendors
- Experience in data analysis, trend calculations and forecasting
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge in use of personal computer and PC Software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and inter-personal skills
- Professional and personable demeanor
- Superior organizational, decision-making and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to adjust to flexible environment
- Ability to problem solve through technical and analytical analysis
- Passionate and high energy which can assist in selling future vision to customers and vendors

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Remote position with some travel required

Compensation
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience
