A Day in This Role — Marcus Hook, PA
Morning starts with a quick walk-through of the facility, checking critical systems and reviewing overnight CMMS tickets. You’ll huddle with your maintenance technicians, align on priorities, and coordinate with operations so planned work happens with minimal disruption. As the day unfolds, you’ll guide preventive maintenance schedules, verify that inspections meet safety requirements, and keep a close eye on spend against budget. When an urgent issue pops up, you’ll triage fast—assigning the right tech, securing parts, and communicating status clearly. Throughout, you mentor your team, promote safe work practices, and capture accurate records so the next decision is always data-driven.
What You’ll Tackle
- Lead and coordinate the daily workload of a skilled maintenance team.
- Own preventive maintenance planning to improve reliability and uptime.
- Perform and validate routine facility and equipment inspections for regulatory and safety compliance.
- Manage maintenance budgets; track labor, materials, and vendor costs for efficiency.
- Coach, train, and mentor technicians to elevate performance and safety awareness.
- Partner with other departments to schedule work windows that minimize operational impact.
- Maintain precise documentation for work orders, repairs, and inventory levels.
- Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance requests and lead effective resolution.
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree / certification preferred.Demonstrated success supervising maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong command of maintenance methods, safety standards, and equipment operation.Proven leadership with the ability to motivate, direct, and develop teams.Hands-on troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical / electrical issues efficiently.Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills.Proficiency with a CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.Flexibility to work varied hours and handle on-call needs as required.If you thrive on leading teams, driving reliability, and keeping facilities performing at their best, this role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact.
