We are seeking a qualified Materials Procurement Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to reduce the cost of procured materials and services while ensuring high quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience working with US Federal Government programs. Additionally, candidates with a deep understanding of electronic security systems, building automation systems, fire alarm systems, low voltage systems, and electrical products are preferred. Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies for procured materials and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Manage the procurement process from vendor selection to contract negotiation and fulfillment.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Utilize systems for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to materials procurement.
  • Seek out and establish relationships with new vendors.
  • Investigating and solving vendor issues. Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' of experience in materials procurement, preferably with US Federal Government programs.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ of experience managing the procurement process from vendor selection to contract negotiation and fulfillment.
  • Experience working with computerized process systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of government approved equipment list.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications :
  • Deep understanding of electronic security systems, building automation systems, fire alarm systems, low voltage systems, and electrical products is preferred.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and shipping for overseas shipments. Travel :
