A day in this role
On first shift, you arrive to a clean, organized shop and get to work breaking down horizontal and vertical pumps. You verify critical dimensions with micrometers and calipers, capture inspection findings, and prepare components for repair or rebuild. You’ll interpret blueprints and schematics to plan your work, construct foundations for pump assembly and disassembly, and use an overhead crane and forklifts to safely move large components. When reassembly begins, you work within precise tolerances to return rotating equipment to peak performance.
