TECHNICAL BUYER

The Technical Buyer is primarily responsible for logistics coordination including but not limited to the management of incoming and outgoing shipments with various transportation and logistics vendors.

This position serves to support Field Service personnel and system delivery to customer sites. The Technical Buyer will also work with vendor item drawings generating them when necessary, coordinating changes to them with subcontractors, and updating them when engineering changes are made.

Responsibilities Generate purchase orders using Great Plains system. In response to production inventory and expense requisitions.

Assure timely delivery as dictated by production schedules and best possible price for each order Assign Stereotaxis part numbers to purchased items in accordance with company policy.

Generate vendor item drawings for purchased parts used in production hardware. Provide guidance to electrical and mechanical engineers in selection of vendors for specific parts types used in Stereotaxis designs to assure best availability and cost selection in addition to maintaining best available quality.

Obtain necessary data from vendors for addition to Stereotaxis approved vendor list and to establish Net 30 terms and assure addition to the Great Plains database.

Logistics coordination : Manage incoming and outgoing shipments with various transportation and logistics vendors; primarily in support of field service personnel and system delivery to customer sites.

Provide all necessary shipping paperwork in the form of packing lists, commercial invoices, certificate of origin, and shippers export declaration as required for each shipment.

Obtain proof of delivery for each Stereotaxis system delivery. Negotiate supplier agreements with subcontractors for the production of Stereotaxis assemblies.

Coordinate technical engineering drawing package changes with subcontractors producing Stereotaxis designed hardware. Update vendor item drawings as the result of engineering changes and vendor changes by means of writing ECO engineering change orders.

Resolve inspection issues for incoming parts and assemblies as required. Serve as primary interface with general delivery companies such as DHL, FedEx, and UPS.

Review all non-conformances and coordinate returns for parts supplied by outside vendors. To obtain analysis and resolution of non-conformances

Job Requirements Required / Desired Qualifications Bachelors degree highly preferred. Familiarity with Great Plains and Microsoft Office highly preferred.

Ability to prioritize and multitask to ensure business objectives are met. Great organizational ability and attention to detail are a must.
