Position Overview
We’re looking for a driven and technically-minded Business Development & Sales Representative to help grow our presence in the automated parking industry. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in technology, a talent for building relationships, and the ability to understand and communicate complex systems in a clear and compelling way. You’ll work closely with developers, architects, general contractors, and consultants to introduce Parkworks solutions and drive new business from concept to close. In addition to sales responsibilities, you’ll play a key role in helping us formalize and strengthen our business development process to support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets and project types
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and consultants
- Understand client needs and collaborate with our internal technical teams to craft tailored solutions
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and system overviews
- Support estimating and technical design discussions with clients as needed
- Manage pipeline and CRM records, track leads, and report on progress toward sales goals
- Represent Parkworks at trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events
- Contribute to strategic sales planning and market analysis
- This role requires the flexibility to travel throughout California and occasionally out of state to attend meetings, site visits, industry events, and client presentations
Qualifications
Experience in business development or sales, ideally in a technical, mechanical, construction, or architectural environmentAbility to quickly understand and explain technical systems—especially automated or mechanical infrastructureStrong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skillsSelf-starter with strong time management and organizational abilitiesComfortable in both client-facing and construction / site environmentsFamiliarity with CRM systems and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel out of area or state for meetings and site visitsPreferred Qualifications
Background or training in engineering, construction management, mechanical systems, or a related technical fieldFamiliarity with architectural drawings, specs, and construction project workflowsExperience working with design-build teams or large development projects
