Position Summary :

The Senior E-Learning Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and managing engaging digital learning programs that meet the training needs of our construction workforce. This sole contributor role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, multimedia content creation skills, and experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate is experienced in adult learning, technically proficient, and can work independently to drive learning outcomes across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop e-learning courses and digital training content for employees in both field and office roles.
  • Utilize tools such as WellSaid Labs, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop), Adobe Captivate, Canva, and Easy Generator.
  • Co-manage and maintain the company's Learning Management System (LMS), including content uploads, user management, course tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements and translate technical or compliance-based content into engaging learning materials.
  • Independent learning to develop content when an SME is unavailable for the topic of training required.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create interactive, effective training.
  • Develop and integrate multimedia elements, including videos, audio narration, graphics, and assessments.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure all training content is aligned with brand, accessibility, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with e-learning trends, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Assist with training functions and events designed to leverage knowledge among our employees as needed

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Construction, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience designing and delivering e-learning for adult learners.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with e-learning development tools, including :
  • WellSaid Labs (or similar AI voice-over tool)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Canva
  • Easy Generator or other authoring tools
  • Experience managing and administering a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Strong communication, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experienced with SCORM, xAPI, or basic HTML / CSS.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or Construction Management.
  • Experience developing training in a construction or skilled trades environment.
  • Working Conditions :

    Primarily office-based or remote with occasional visits to other office sites as needed.

    Must be able to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
