Description :

This position requires clinical review and auto-offer for a nursing role specializing in Mother-Baby care.

The schedule consists of night shifts, working 36 hours a week.

Every other weekend is required, including Friday and Saturday shifts.

The nurse must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays, with New Year's requests not approved.

Experience in postpartum and antepartum care is necessary.

The nurse will float within their skill set, including NICU to care for level II nursery patients.

Current BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.

Candidates can submit with a license pending.

The position requires flexibility with approved time off up to 40 hours during the contract.

This role involves the administration of various medications and therapies, including antihypertensives and insulin drips.

The nurse will assist in circumcision procedures and perform postpartum and newborn assessments.

Education and discharge teaching for parents, as well as breastfeeding support, are essential components of care.

The daily census on the unit ranges from 15 to 30 patients, with 30 beds available.

Interdisciplinary support includes teams from various specialties, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Candidates should be aware of the requirement to float among units as needed.

References may be required as part of the submission process.

Verification of certifications must be included in the application.

The facility does not accept travelers after they have worked on assignment for a year, regardless of separation.

Experience in a baby-friendly environment is preferred.
