Position Overview : As a COMSEC Policy Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing cryptographic security policies to protect sensitive information.
Working in close collaboration with our team of experts, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of COMSEC strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
This role requires a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, coupled with practical experience in radio and aviation environments.
Key Responsibilities : Develop and maintain COMSEC policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and recommend countermeasures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate COMSEC solutions into existing systems and architectures.Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the secure operation of communication systems and equipment.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to anticipate future security challenges and opportunities.Participate in audits and inspections to assess compliance with COMSEC policies and standards.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in COMSEC policy development and implementation.Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms, key management, and secure communication protocols.
Experience working with radio and aviation systems is highly desirable.Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, such as NIST, FIPS, and NSA COMSEC policies.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Location : This is an on-site position located in Fort Belvoir, VA.
