The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve as a member of the laboratory team in the Center for Translational Cancer Research.

Required Education and Experience :
Appropriate doctoral degree in medical sciences, biomedical science, or chemistry
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications :
Ability to conduct independent research in chemical and synthetic biology areas and has a strong publication record.
Experience in cell culture, calcium signaling, confocal imaging, integrative omics, T cell biology, immunotherapy, molecular biology, biochemistry, animal study, and / or therapeutics development.
Experience working with individuals and communities.
Essential Duties / Tasks
Experiments - Conducts independent research; carries out research problem solving; research literature in connection to possible procedures and experiments;
modifies experiments to suite the particular research needs.
Cell Sequencing - Conducts cell-based assay, next generation sequencing, and some mouse-based studies.
Data Analysis - Perform all aspects of research data analysis including design and execution of in vitro assays, statistical analysis of data and assist the PI with the preparation and presentation of completed analysis to collaborators, stake holders and the publication of results in high quality peer reviewed journals.
General Lab Operation - Operate all the instrumentation needed for projects and compiling data; makes and records observations and measurements; manage lab orders.
Meetings - Participate in weekly lab meetings with the center and other departments. Participate in joint projects involving the laboratory team.
