Heavy Civil Project Engineer

Our client in Wayne County, MI is actively seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing team.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for having the following skillsets and carrying out the following tasks :

• At least 3 years experience as a project engineer.
• Preferably past experience working at a civil subcontracting firm.
• Daily coordination with project managers, superintendents and foreman.
• Document preparation and management of submittals, schedules, RFI’s, permits, MISS DIG utility locations, As-Built Drawings, and soil erosion inspections.
• Preparation of scope of work documents and current drawings for the foreman.
• Management of GC / CM project software for document control.
• Daily operation of bid software system HCSS – Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, Field Manager and Plans.
• Daily operation of other software systems – Dropbox, Blue Beam, Microsoft Project or P6, Timberline and Timberscan.
• Assistance with the preparation of project management quotations and time & material work.
• Assistance with contract review.
