Director Of Nursing (Don)

JCCA is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and administrative direction to all nursing staff within JCCA's Medical Program. This leader ensures the delivery of equitable, high-quality, and compassionate therapeutic services to children and youth (ages 021) in care.

The DON will oversee nursing operations across Bronx and Brooklyn sites, supporting both primary care and psychiatric / mental health services to promote prevention, effective treatment, and optimal wellness for every young person served.

Additionally, the DON will act as a clinical consultant to other agency programs, collaborating closely with Human Resources to promote a culture of safety, health, and excellence for clients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Staff Development

• Provide visionary leadership and direct supervision to nursing and administrative staff across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with agency mission and clinical excellence standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a supportive, high-performance team culture.
• Partner with HR to ensure compliance with labor agreements, agency policies, and state and federal regulations.
• Lead ongoing professional development initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
