Principal Contracts Administrator

Oversee and manage all aspects of government contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms and conditions.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies for government contracts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters, both internally and externally.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute contract strategies that align with company objectives.
Analyze and mitigate risks associated with contract terms and conditions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
Provide guidance and support to team members on contract matters, including training and mentoring.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and other external stakeholders.
Monitor contract performance and identify areas for improvement or potential issues.
Participate in proposal development and review to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Advise and assist in the resolution of contract disputes or issues.
Stay current on industry and government contract regulations and make recommendations for process improvements.
Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with government agencies and other contractors.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment for contracts.
Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide contract policies and procedures.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills :
Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant Contract Management experience or equivalent education / experience.
Advanced knowledge of DoD contracting
Advanced knowledge of FAR / DFAR
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers;
Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents - Microsoft Office
Make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Develop / demonstrate research and presentation skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent organizational and follow through skills.
Detail oriented.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :
Advanced Degree MBA
Professional Contracts Certifications : CFCM, CPCM, DAWIA etc.
Experience supporting ship repair or other industrial activities
Pay Information :
Full-Time Salary Range : $90373 - $153634
Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
