Platform Architect, Enterprise Analytic Platform

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Platform Architect who is passionate about applying technology to help people make better decisions with data.

The core function of this role is to ensure the health and uptime of the Decision Science servers and applications that form the basis for all our data integration, data science, and advanced analytic work that we do for the entire client family of businesses.

This professional coordinates with the Decision Science team to enhance and maintain the platforms that provide our business intelligence solutions.

He or she will lead the technical implementation and support enterprise-wide applications. This role will leverage a diverse technical background to solve complex problems and develop advanced analytical solutions with minimal oversight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE :

Support the implementation and support of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture.

Administration of SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS solutions. Collaborate with management to expand adoption while controlling costs.

Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of technology solutions, and address any potential risks or issues that may impact business operations.

DELIVERING VALUE :

Manage small to medium-sized technical projects. Works with engineering teams to break down goals into actionable tasks articulated in work breakdown structures with resource allocation and task duration estimates.

Understand the project management lifecycle.

Provide proactive stakeholder communication that articulates the progress on initiatives, status of deliverables, and visibility to risks.

Develop solutions to support cybersecurity strategies to protect the organization from internal and external threats.

Create documentation, flowcharts, layouts, and diagrams to communicate architecture concepts and support maintenance / upgrades.

INNOVATION :

Deploy new technology solutions and ensure that they are integrated seamlessly with existing systems and processes.

Conduct proof-of-concepts and pilots on the latest trends and advancements in digital transformation and apply them to the organization's technology strategy.

Identify and implement technical rationalization opportunities.

Evangelize Advanced Analytics and using data-driven decisions to be a competitive advantage across the Post Holdings network through strategic leadership and guidance.

Collaborate with stakeholders to establish, maintain, and champion an architectural design and vision that are operationally feasible and deliver the objectives set by the Platform Product roadmap.

Drive change management and adoption of best practices and standards.

Collaborate with IT and business partners to drive strategic initiatives forward.

Distill complex technical information for diverse audiences.

Serve as a mentor to technical staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them develop their skills and achieve their professional goals.

Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred (Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another quantitative subject is a plus);

or 5+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex ideas concisely to a variety of audiences.

3+ years of experience working with various Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, or ERP software packages (Tableau, Informatica, SAP, Oracle, SQL Server, JDE, preferred).

Server Admin experience in Tableau is a plus.

3+ years of experience with SQL and a scripting language like PowerShell and / or Python.

Demonstrate high personal standards of behavior in a professional environment. Demonstrate accountability, competence, and the ability to manage through influence.

Strong analytical, logic, and critical thinking skills required.

Working knowledge of modern data engineering tools like dbt Cloud, Fivetran, Shipyard, and Snowflake.

Experience with JIRA / GitHub or other code management toolsets and experience with change control concepts.

Familiarity with Azure Monitoring, Azure Portal, Azure Server monitoring, and Cost Management.

Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint & Visio; must have expert functional knowledge of Excel.

Self-directed with a hunger to continually learn and grow.

Ability to work on multiple projects, competing priorities, and ensure follow-through on committed deliverables.
