Manufacturing Engineer

We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for supporting our manufacturing operations. As a Manufacturing Operations Engineer, you will be tasked with driving impactful, technical projects which improve product quality, lower production costs, and improve productivity while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct projects to simplify work processes, improve tooling, improve throughput, reduce scrap, and ensure equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with other departments to investigate and address quality-related issues using methodologies like 8D, Kaizen, DMAIC, and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain production-related documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work alongside production supervisors, operators, toolmakers and maintenance staff to identify and address production needs.
• Provide guidance for designing and troubleshooting automation systems.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges in production, identify root causes, implement solutions, and monitor their effectiveness using empirical data.
• Work with cost accountants to understand opportunities for improvement to the process which will lead to improved financial performance.
• Design and deploy essential tools, fixtures, or equipment to boost production efficiency, reduce errors, improve inspections, and improve ergonomics.
• Develop lean cell layouts and workflows to minimize waste and enhance productivity / ergonomics.
• Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending tradeshows and continuing education workshops.
• Participate in PPAP process, including drawing feasibility reviews, manufacturing reviews, Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) reviews, etc.

This role will require you to be 100% on site at our Fairfield, NJ location. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Pay Range

$100 k–$125 k
