Application Support Analyst

A financial firm is looking for an Application Support Analyst to join their team in Richmond, VA.

Pay : $40 / hr

Key Aspect of the Role : Planning, coordinating and executing IT disaster testing between data centers and environments (Cloud.Colo, on prem)

Responsibilities :

• Manages and controls the processing of programs and peripheral equipment on mainframe and / or distributed computer systems to ensure the highest levels of service and system availability are attained.
• Establishes production runs, ensuring that appropriate job control language, run documentation and data files are available.
• Assists in job set-up.
• Performs problem identification, escalation and resolution.
• Communicates status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions.

Top 5 Required Skills :

1. Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Tools ( WORD, PPT, OUTLOOK, TEAMS, Excel)

2. Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery (IT) experience

3. Moderate understanding of IT technology (DB, Middleware, network, Websphere)

4. Project management skills for small to medium size projects

5. Experience in the Agile methodology (JIRA)
