About The Position

Job Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified OB / GYN physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Michigan. This role includes in-hospital 24-hour call coverage with occasional clinic hours, a supportive team, and a full range of OB and GYN procedures.

Position Details

Coverage Dates (Priority Needs) :

December 4, 10, 18, 19, 25, 26, 28

Additional ongoing dates to be discussed

Schedule : 24-hour in-hospital call | Occasional clinic shifts (8a–5p)

Setting : Clinic + In-house hospital call

Reason for Coverage : Open positions & community OB / GYN retiring from call group

Credentialing Timeline : 90–120 days (temporary privileges being requested)

Trauma Level : II

EMR : Epic

Team & Facility Support

Physicians in Practice : 2 (OB / GYNs share call with Family Health providers)

APP Coverage : 2.5 FTE in clinic

Exam Rooms : 10

Onsite Services : Lab & Ultrasound

Support Staff : RNs (intake), MAs, and front desk staff

Patient Care & Procedures

Obstetrics :

Low- & high-risk pregnancy management

Vaginal deliveries (routine & assisted, including low forceps)

Decision-making for C-section

Complicated deliveries : C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions

VBACs

Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology :

Office / Minor GYN : IUD, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, cystoscopy, etc.

Surgical GYN – Open procedures

Compensation & Conversion Details

Pay Rate : Competitive (discussed at submission)

Travel & Lodging : Covered

Malpractice Insurance : Provided

Requirements

Board Certified OB / GYN

Active Michigan License

BLS & ACLS
