Senior Sales Account Manager

As Senior Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business and expanding existing customer relationships within the manufacturing software market. You'll identify customer needs, develop tailored software solutions, and lead the full sales cycle from discovery and strategy to contract negotiation and deal closure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in shaping growth for GE Vernova Electrification Software across the DACH region.
Please note : The Manufacturing Software business of GE Vernova is expected to become part of the asset management company TPG in early 2026. New hires will join GE Vernova now and transition to TPG once the transaction is completed.
Responsibilities
- Drive key activities, including strategy planning, customer relationship development, discovery assessment, solution definition, contract negotiation until deal closure
- Work closely with the other staff members in GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) to drive and lead growth in software license, service, and support revenue generation
- Establish a deep understanding of customers' business needs by creating value to customers for our solution footprint
- Add value to the customer's business and maintain a value-oriented approach to the business partnership
- Demonstrate to customers how they benefit by partnering with GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) and how our solutions deliver results
- Proactively develop and drive a sustainable commercial relationship aligned with the agreed commercial strategy
- Grow the sales pipeline and maintains an array of opportunities to ensure that sales goals are achieved
- Actively grow and maintain multi-year account plans that will be shared globally with parts of our business including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Professional Services, and the Development teams to ensure coordination across the business
- Ensure a professional sales experience for customers during all aspects of the sales process and touch points including : formal meeting agendas, formal follow-up stating sequence of events and next steps in writing, and issue resolution in a timely fashion
- Formulates the winning proposals based on a cohesive strategy that leverages deep knowledge of industry, customer, and GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) product portfolio
Required Qualifications & Competencies
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent experience in a related technical or commercial discipline)Proven track record in direct software sales, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing domainKAM experience in relevant markets is also welcomeStrong background in developing and closing complex B2B deals across multiple stakeholders and decision levelsSuccessful experience selling industrial or automation software solutions, preferably Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, or related digital manufacturing toolsSolid understanding of production processes, manufacturing IT, and digital transformation within industries such as Automotive, Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, or Discrete ManufacturingDemonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and develop long-term customer relationshipsStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate business value and ROI at executive levelFluency in German and English (written and spoken) is mandatoryHigh level of self-motivation, resilience, and a consultative mindset with a passion for industrial digitalizationWhat We Offer
