Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health by overseeing the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers information technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve internal and externally-facing business needs. The team partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications. Medical Enterprise IT has an open role for an Engineer, SAP Software Engineer SAP S4 PTP, SCE and MM supporting Medical Core Systems. The Medical Global Supply Chain Execution team manages the IT relationship between Cardinal Health business and IT teams, focusing on Run (daily production support) and Build (project) support. The role is responsible for tactical project execution and identifying strategic opportunities for improving business processes through IT functionality.

Responsibilities

• Develop business process knowledge and apply it to the development of software functionality and related documentation
• Participate in conversations with business teams to understand requirements and work with leads to identify options
• Plan and support SAP S4 procurement processes and procedures
• Create configurations within SAP S4 MM and SAP PTP to support supply chain processes and procedures
• Reference and review T-codes
• Collaborate with other EIT teams as needed in performing the support activities
• Communicate effectively to business partners and other supporting teams
