We are looking for an accomplished, self-driven WMS Solution Architect to design, integrate, and deliver advanced warehouse management and automation solutions across a large-scale North American distribution network. This position plays a key role within the Enterprise Applications team, supporting a complex aftermarket parts operation with more than half a million SKUs, 15 distribution centers, and a combination of company-owned and 3PL-managed facilities - several of which exceed one million square feet.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to assess requirements and design WMS and automation solutions optimized for high-volume, multi-SKU environments.
- Lead full lifecycle implementation efforts - including requirements definition, solution architecture, vendor evaluation, configuration, testing, and go-live execution.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across IT, operations, and partner teams.
- Architect scalable, integrated systems that connect WMS platforms with SAP ECC WM / EWM and warehouse automation technologies.
- Remain up to date with evolving technologies and trends in warehouse automation, robotics, and digital supply chain solutions.
- Oversee integration with third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth data synchronization and alignment of warehouse processes.
- Establish and maintain architectural frameworks, documentation, and best practices for warehouse and automation systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in WMS architecture and implementation.SAP certification in WM or EWM preferred.Familiarity with cloud-based WMS solutions and IoT-connected systems.Skilled at converting business needs into efficient, scalable technical designs.Proven track record implementing automation technologies such as VLMs, AMRs, pick-to-light systems, and conveyors.Understanding of Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.Advanced proficiency in at least one top-tier WMS platform (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or SAP EWM).Strong background in SAP ECC WM and / or SAP EWM integration.Demonstrated experience integrating with 3PL systems and managing hybrid warehouse environments.Background in automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, or similar industries is highly desirable.Experience in large-scale, high-SKU distribution operations.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.EOE STATEMENT
