PCI Insulator
This role involves providing labor support to experienced carpenters and insulators, primarily focusing on insulation removal and installation. The position offers on-the-job training and is suitable for individuals eager to learn and grow in the construction industry. The shifts available are from 5 : 00 AM to 1 : 30 PM and 1 : 30 PM to 11 : 30 PM.
Responsibilities include conveying materials to various locations throughout the job site, organizing and maintaining clean work areas, performing basic insulation installation, coating application, taping, and removal, and participating in on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced team members.
Essential skills include general labor experience, familiarity with construction processes, proficiency in using hand and power tools, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform production-related tasks.
Additional skills and qualifications include prior experience in the construction industry being beneficial but not required, the ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and working outside, physical capability to lift 40 pounds, and being local to the San Diego metro area preferred.

Work will be conducted at the NASSCO yard, supporting the T-AO New Construction Program. The environment involves working on Navy TAO X Class ships, which are designed for fuel transfer and feature advanced capabilities. The company provides tools for entry-level workers, which will be replaced at company expense if worn out through normal use.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California. The pay range for this position is $20.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
