Patient Access Specialist

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Access Specialist in Lewiston, ME. This role is in the healthcare industry where you will be interacting with customers and patients, managing their accounts, and handling their inquiries.

Responsibilities :

Engage in patient-facing activities and provide a high level of customer service.

Process patient credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsible for answering inbound calls and dealing with patient queries promptly.

Maintain an up-to-date record of patient credit information.

Perform authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions as part of the role.

Participate in clinical trial operations as required.

Monitor patient accounts and take necessary actions based on account status.

Requirements :

Qualifications : No healthcare experience required! Excellent role for anyone interested in healthcare!

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, call center, etc.)

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry

Multiple shifts with rotating schedules available, varying hours, shift differential available

1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available!
