Patient Service Coordinator - Cardiovascular Surgery

Location : 818 Congress St, Portland, ME

Department : MaineHealth Cardiovascular Surgery - Clinic Practice

Schedule : Monday-Friday, consistent hours | Day shift (7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00PM or 8 : 00 AM- 4 : 30 PM)

Remote Flexibility : Option for 1 remote day / week after completion of training

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting patients during their most important health journeys? MaineHealth is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team in Portland.

In this vital role, you will be the front-line support for patients undergoing open-heart surgery, assisting them through pre-op testing, surgical scheduling, and post-op appointments. Our surgeons rely heavily on their PSCs , and you'll play a key role in keeping care moving forward.

What You'll Do :

Manage complex scheduling and coordination for patient appointments and procedures

Serve as a point of contact for patients, families, and providers

Provide administrative and clerical support within a fast-paced clinical environment

Help maintain continuity of care through excellent communication and attention to detail

What We're Looking For :

2+ years of administrative experience in a patient services setting

Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for helping others

Comfort with electronic medical records and scheduling systems

Ability to work onsite with limited remote flexibility after training

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education : High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License / Certifications : N / A
• Experience : Two years of administrative patient service experience.
• Additional Skills / Requirements Required : N / A
• Additional Skills / Requirements Preferred : Proficient computer skills.
