Covenant Case Management Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to members enrolled in the North Carolina Innovation Waiver. You will play a vital role in helping individuals improve their communication skills and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech or language disorders.
- Assess members' auditory, visual, motor, and cognitive abilities to determine appropriate speech device recommendations.
- Provide training on devices and equipment to ensure proper usage.
- Adhere to NC Medicaid Innovation's clinical coverage policy 8-P for Specialized Consultative Services.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools to evaluate speech and language abilities.
- Manage cases independently by maintaining accurate records and progress reports.
- Collaborate with the team to recommend equipment eligible for Medicaid and Innovation Waiver coverage.
- Utilize tele-consultation services when necessary.

Valid North Carolina driver’s license.Education :
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.Licensing :
Active license issued by the North Carolina Board of Speech-Language Pathology.NPI and NCTracks :
Active NPI number and NCTracks profile.Insurance :
Professional Liability insurance with coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate limits.Communication Skills :
Excellent oral and written communication skills.Technical Proficiency :
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience with Disabilities :
Knowledge of working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and / or traumatic brain injury is preferred.Augmentative Communication :
Working knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods.Device Familiarity :
Experience with Dynavox devices.DME Claims :
Understanding of how to submit Durable Medical Equipment (DME) claims.Assessment Experience :
