Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (option to extend up to 16 weeks) Start Date : December 15, 2025 Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 hours Employment Type : Travel RN position Unit : LAC Resource Team – Cardiac Stepdown / IMCU Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications 2 years of recent RN experience in Intermediate Care, Cardiac Stepdown, or acute care nursing Previous travel nursing experience required Active Virginia or Compact RN license (required at start) Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Complete work history with explanations for gaps over 90 days Skills Checklist and Nursys / license copy required Ability to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays Charge nurse and Cerner EMR experience preferred Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Mentor and support students and new hires in a teaching hospital setting Follow unit protocols and foster a culture of teamwork and support Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR (preferred) Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays Ready to make an impact in cardiac stepdown care?
