Travel RN Job Details

Location : Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Virginia nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (12 / 1 / 2025 – 2 / 28 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Intermediate Care (IMCU) – Cardiac Stepdown

Shift : 12-hour nights

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Dates : 12 / 1 / 2025 or 12 / 15 / 2025

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in cardiac stepdown or IMCU (travel nursing experience required)

Active Virginia or Compact RN license (required at start)

Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale

Complete work history with explanations for gaps over 90 days

Skills checklist and RN license copy required for submission

Ability to work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Preferred : Charge nurse experience and Cerner EMR proficiency

Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible

RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to med-surg, telemetry, cardiac, neuro, and CVA patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital

Mentor nursing students and new hires, supporting a culture of learning

Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions

Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR

Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
