Leer South (Wolf Run Mining, LLC) is looking for an Engineer III to join our successful team in Philippi, West Virginia.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

• Prepare and monitor short and long range mine plans, including production / coal quality forecasting.
• Prepare mine plans, roof control plans, mine ventilation plans / mapping, mine drainage design, mine ventilation system design, mine supply water handling, and rock dust systems.
• Prepare accurate and timely volumetric calculations and provide monthly production and royalties.
• Analyze labor requirements, equipment needs and operational costs to compute and prepare annual budget reports as well as accurately forecast future performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Provide accurate and timely reports of mine performance including section performance statistics.
• Provide cost analysis of projects and prepare AFEs for all mine related capital projects.
• Plan and oversee capital projects to ensure timely completion within budgeted costs.
• Plan and carry out special projects as required by mine management .
• Oversee all aspects of underground surveying, including underground construction surveying.
