Requirements :
- Valid Washington State Special Education teaching license
- Experience working with early childhood education (ECE) students preferred
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to individualize instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in the early childhood education setting
- Provide instruction and support to students with disabilities in the areas of academics, social skills, and behavior management
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure the integration of students with special needs into the general education classroom
- Monitor and assess student progress, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding student progress and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based meetings as required
