LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Internal Medicine PA in California!

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Geriatrics Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 8, 2025. This opportunity offers weekday hours, Monday through Friday, and focuses on providing all-inclusive care for patients aged 55 and over in an underserved setting with low patient volume and significant paperwork responsibilities.

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care for geriatric patients, primarily those 55 and older, within a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) model
  • Manage a low patient volume, with a primary focus on paperwork and care coordination
  • Serve a patient population that is predominantly Spanish-speaking, with translator and medical assistant support available
  • Deliver care to underserved patients, the majority of whom are Medicaid recipients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes

    • Additional Information

  • Active California DEA and furnishing license required
  • Demonstrated locum experience is necessary
  • Prior work in FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS settings preferred
  • Recent geriatric experience is mandatory; urgent care, internal medicine, or pediatrics experience will not be accepted
  • Geriatric Medicine board certification required
