Job Description

Ferrovial Construction U.S. seeks a BIM Manager for the East region to manage 3D models while procuring multibillion?dollar infrastructure projects. Once awarded one of those contracts, the BIM manager will lead the BIM team through the detailed design phase and during construction.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Design Manager, working closely with Heads of Discipline.
  • Prepare or manage 3D models for the tender and design phases; receive and manage multiple designer and subcontractor models for coordination.
  • Provide team members and subcontractors with the most current coordinated information, facilitating sign?off and submittal of coordinated areas.
  • Run and analyze clash detection on the Project model; prepare and distribute clash reports to facilitate coordination. Communicate conflicts in both real and potential model.
  • Maintain current and standardized job?site files by timely and accurately preparing and disseminating BIM project documents to team members.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings with other team members, designers, subcontractors, or the Owner, verifying that appropriate equipment is available for effective model review.
  • Coordinate with BIM software providers to implement advanced tools, resolving real challenges.
  • Assist the project team with construction coordination and scheduling; prepare the model to implement the Schedule in a 4D model.
  • Coordinate with Digital Construction to provide features in the design 3D model for future attributes.
  • Compile Project BIM close?out documentation to be delivered to DOT and Developer.
  • Requirements

  • A college degree is preferred; Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of related BIM experience in the design / construction industry.
  • Thorough understanding of building and roadway systems, particularly design and construction needs, to implement tools for improvement.
  • Understanding of design and document coordination.
  • Knowledge of construction nomenclature and techniques (means and methods).
  • Valuable knowledge : Bentley or Autodesk BIM software.
