We are expanding our leadership team and seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to oversee and scale our billing operations for multiple locations. This is a fully remote role- no travel required -ideal for an expert in medical billing who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) will be responsible for leading all aspects of billing and revenue cycle operations for Caring Therapists. This includes insurance claim management, denial resolution, compliance oversight, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker who can streamline processes, implement best practices, and optimize revenue cycle performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership : Supervise and develop the billing team, including workflow management, training, and performance reviews.
- Claims Management : Oversee the end-to-end process of claims submission, from accurate coding and timely filing to payment posting.
- Denial Management : Implement strategies to reduce rejections and resolve denied or underpaid claims efficiently.
- Patient Billing & Collections : Ensure accurate patient statements, manage payment plans, and maximize upfront collections.
- Insurance Verification : Oversee verification of patient benefits and communicate coverage details clearly to clients.
- Credentialing Oversight : Coordinate with credentialing partners to maintain provider compliance with payers.
- Compliance : Ensure all billing processes adhere to federal, state, and payer regulations, including HIPAA and GAAP standards.
- Reporting & Analytics : Develop KPIs, create RCM dashboards, and provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).10+ years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management within an organization with revenue of $10,000,000+.5+ years in a leadership role managing billing teams.AAPC billing / coding certification required.Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD coding, payer guidelines, and behavioral health billing.Experience with multi-location practices and mental health billing required.Proficiency with technology platforms, such as TherapyNotes, Asana, Google Workspace, and Availity.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.WHAT WE OFFER
