A Day in the Life of a Hospital Logistics Coordinator
The Hospital Logistics Coordinator serves as a liaison between Emergency Services, the Admissions Department, nursing teams, internal and external physicians, and all patient intake areas. This position utilizes clinical nursing expertise to assess medical necessity and facilitate efficient patient placement across all care units. The Hospital Logistics Coordinator will oversee daily staffing activities to meet multi departmental staffing needs, supporting patient flow and throughput.

Here is What You Will Be Doing :
Coordinates staffing and patient movement throughout the Trauma, Emergency, and Logistics service line; and all patient intake areas. Partners with the Admissions Department for admissions, transfers, and discharge needs.Utilizes clinical nursing experience to assess patients for medical necessity and matches patients with appropriate levels of care at admission and beyond.Facilitates timely patient placement and direct to hospital transfers with consideration for efficient bed monitoring and utilization throughout the hospital.Collaborates with nursing and physician staff to maintain patient flow and throughput at all levels of care.Develops and maintains effective processes and information systems to facilitate efficient and appropriate admissions and transfers.Develops daily staffing plans for all nursing units adhering to unit-specific criteria.Manages call-offs by coordinating with available resources or floating staff as needed to ensure safe coverage with suitable replacements based on skill, scope, and maintaining high-quality patient care.Utilizes SMS test systems to efficiently communicate with staff regarding scheduling adjustments and additional staffing needs.Serves as end-user support for basic scheduling system functions.Ensures quality of services through research of current nursing models and the utilization of best practices.Desired Skills :

Associates degree or higher from an accredited school of nursingWyoming Registered Nurse (RN) License or enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC)Two (2) or more years of critical care experienceCheyenne regional AHA RQI within 14 calendar days of start dateNice to Have :
