Financial Operations Coordinator
Location : Memphis, TN (100% Onsite)
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM CST
Pay Rate : $24 / hr (W2)
Contract Length : 12 months (Contract with potential to hire)
About the Role
A leading Swoon client in the insurance and healthcare industry is seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator to support their finance and banking operations team in Memphis, TN
This role is focused on maintaining accuracy and efficiency in daily financial transactions, including payment processing, reconciliations, and banking documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and track check payments, voids, and stop payments through internal banking systems.
- Prepare and balance bank deposits and ensure timely delivery to financial institutions.
- Verify and record check clearances and maintain documentation for audit purposes.
- Respond to inquiries from internal offices and clients regarding payment status or documentation.
- Support the financial operations team with reconciliations and data entry into claims or accounting systems.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files for financial transactions.
- Contribute to quality and compliance initiatives within the department.
- Complete daily tasks and reporting accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in accounting, banking operations, or financial support.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data formatting.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams).Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, open office environment.Must reside within commuting distance of Memphis, TN and be available for 100% onsite workMust be able to pass a credit background check (required for contract-to-hire consideration).Preferred Qualifications
